Thanks to Lisa Davis Doran and True Love Tattoo Studio we are having another Tattoo Party!! Lisa and True Love will donate a percentage of each tattoo bought to PugHearts. After tattoos, we will meet for drinks, food and laughs most likely at Tookies.....

As in previous years, the studio will have some Pug templates, but if you have a particular tattoo you want be sure and bring pictures. If you are considering a big tattoo, I suggest meeting about your artwork before the party. Please keep in mind that there are limited chairs and artist so this is a limited space people only event. as always you can visit the shop before or after the party and let them know you are with PugHearts and Lisa will still donate a percentage of the tattoo you receive. The pugs will be trying something a little different for their adoption event on Sunday 3/22/15...PugHearts will be at Emeral Bowl on 9307 Boone Road Houston, TX 77099 from 12-4.  This event will feature family friendly bowling inside ($25 per person for 3 hours of bowling with shoe rental), a pug pin outside, and a silent auction!  This will be such a great event and I hope you all can make it!

Please RSVP if you plan to come.  All of the money from the silent auction will be donated to PugHearts and a large portion of all bowling fees will come to us as well.  This is a great opportunity to support PugHearts and have a great time!

PugHearts has been trying to raise a MILE OF MONEY for several months now, and the dead line is 9/27/2014!!!!  Think about it...if PugHearts can raise a mile worth of $1 bills that would be $10,560 raised for the care of our puggies!!!  It is a great way for everyone to get involved, since all it takes is $1!!!!  

On 9/27/14 at The FlyingPug SportsPub PugHearts will walk down the "mile of money" in what we are deeming 'walking naked down the mile of money"!  We encourage all our 2 legged friends to join us in fundraising and celebrating.  After the Naked march, we will head back to The Flying Pug for dinner and drinks.

5pm-6pm - meet at the Legends Sports Complex  (down the street from the Flying Pug Sports Pub) for the Naked March down the Mile of money!  This will also be a last chance to donate if we have not made our goal.

Sustain Juicery has just opened a location in West University and is run by PugHearts' own Wen and Astrid!!!  They are graciously donating 10% of any sales when you mention PugHearts during the month of August and to kick it off PugHearts will have a small adoption event at Sustain on Saturday 8/2/14 from 1pm to 3pm. 

Sustain Juicery has tons of made to order COLD PRESSED juices and smoothies.  They also offer juice cleanses.  They strive for locally and/or organically grown ingredients.  If you are a long time juicer or just getting into it, you should check them out - and mention PugHearts!

The adoption even on 8/2/14 will run from 1pm to 3pm and will be indoors, but there is limited space, so please leave personal dogs at home (unless you have a meet and greet scheduled).

We have a very special event planned for Saturday 6/21/14 from 6pm to 8pm.  Paint for the Pugs will be a PERSON ONLY event where you will be guided through creating an acrylic painting of your own pug (or one of ours if you prefer).  

This event will run from 6pm to 8pm at the Club House (located at 2900 Manvel Road Pearland, TX).  There will be a $50 charge to participate (paid in advance), which will cover all your supplies and instruction.  Payments can be paid in cash or check at any upcoming events or via paypal at www.pughearts.com, and indicate Paint for the Pugs in comments.

The amazing and beyond talented Karen Rudat will be creating a stencil/transfer from a photo of your very own pug (she recommends face shots for best results).  You will need to email her your photo or you can post it here in this thread by no later than 6/12/14.  At the event on 6/21/14 you will be able to transfer the drawing based upon your photo to a gallery-wrapped canvas, and then go on to paint your own pug masterpiece!!!!

This is the second time we have done this event and last time we sold out!!!  Spaces are limited, so sign up now!  If you participated last year PLEASE post photos of your artwork in this event so everyone can see!  

PugHearts is having a Crawfish Boil on 6/14/14 from 1pm to 7pm at!  Come on out an enjoy good food, good people, and good drinks all while helping to raise money for the PUGS!!!!

Crawfish will be sold at $5 per pound and every dollar is coming to PugHearts thanks to Heather Lowery and Harbor America who is sponsoring this event!

In addition, Winston's on Washington has agreed to host our Crawfish Boil and donate a portion of all drink sales during that time to PugHearts!  Where else can you eat mudbugs and drink booze all in the name of rescue pugs!!!!

Winston's on Washington is mainly outdoors and it will be HOT, HOT, HOT, but they are installing misters to help cool everyone down!  Dogs are welcome, but PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU CHOOSE TO BRING YOUR DOG.  We do not want any pugs over heating. 

There is a limited amount of Crawfish so come early to eat your fill and stay late to enjoy good company!
